Frequently asked questions
Does whey protein have lactose?
Yes, whey comes from milk, so it contains some lactose. Whey protein isolate is filtered further and is lower in lactose than concentrate. This powder uses both, and its digestive enzyme blend includes lactase, but it isnāt a lactose-free product. If youāre very sensitive to lactose, check with your healthcare provider.
Is whey protein dairy-free or vegan?
No. Whey is a milk protein, so it isnāt dairy-free or vegan. If you want a dairy-free option, see our plant-based protein powder.
Whatās the difference between whey isolate and whey concentrate?
Both come from milk. Isolate is filtered further, so itās higher in protein by weight and lower in lactose and fat. Concentrate keeps a little more of both. This powder blends the two to deliver 25 g of protein per serving.
How much protein is in a scoop?
A serving is 2 scoops (36 g) and has 25 g of protein, so one scoop is roughly half that. One container has 30 servings.
How do I take it?
Mix a serving with water, milk or a plant milk, or blend it into a smoothie. It suits after a workout, with breakfast or between meals.
Will whey protein make me gain weight?
Weight depends on your total calorie intake over time. A serving of this powder has 130 calories, with 2 g of carbohydrates and 2 g of fat.
Whatās it sweetened with?
Steviol glycosides, a stevia-derived sweetener.

This whey protein is tasty. It dissolves well in non cold beverages. It worked much better in a blended smoothie with some frozen fruit. The taste is good. It tastes like any number of bottled chocolate protein shakes. At around $2 per serving, its price is about the same as the cheaper bottled versions. However, this powder can be added into smoothies and recipes too. It can be adjusted by adding more or less of the powder to increase or decrease both the taste and the protein. You are also reducing plastic waste by mixing your own versions. The product is made in the USA in a cGMP facility. It is also third party tested. It doesnāt expire for over a year. All that makes me feel confident about using this product.Overall, a nice product in a sea of similar options.
Former wellness consultant here. I'm loving this protein. This protein accomplishes all the things I expect of a great protein; it mixes easily without an agitator, it has a pleasant stevia-based sweetness, it mixes thin so it's easy to use as an ingredient in a smoothie or as a drink straight with just water.ā Great stevia sweetness that's not extreme or artificial tasting.ā Chocolate taste is decent without tasting like artificial sweeteners.ā Excellent Amino Acid profile for complete nutrition. Composition matters.ā Mixes thin and smooth without an agitator.ā Great value for the money. If there are any changes in this protein's quality, I'll report back in. š¤ I hope you found my notes and pictures useful. Be well and live strong! ā¤ļøāš„
I've gone through a lot of protein powders over the years, and this is one of the few that I actually look forward to drinking every day. The chocolate flavor is really good. It doesn't have that artificial aftertaste that so many protein powders have, and it mixes up nice and smooth without leaving a bunch of clumps behind.I usually mix it with almond milk, but it's also been great in smoothies. It has enough flavor to satisfy a chocolate craving without tasting overly sweet, which I appreciate since it only has 1 gram of sugar.I also like that it gives me 25 grams of protein without a bunch of extra calories. It fits easily into my day whether I'm having it after a workout or just trying to get more protein in. I've been using it daily, and it's become one of those products I reach for without even thinking about it.I have zero complaints with this one. It tastes good, mixes well, and has earned a permanent spot on my kitchen counter.
I'm always trying new protein powder blends and different protein supplement products for ones to keep in my rotation. What I love about this one especially is the included enzyme bland, lactase, protease, amylase, lipase, and cellulase. Lots of why protein blends give me varying degrees of abdominal discomfort or bloating when loading up on double scoops during my bulk phase. So far this has definitely been on the milder side, I think the enzymes are really helping.I also like that this uses no artificial sweeteners, It seems to be on the high end of stevia compared to some others I've tried, but I can personally tolerate this much and love the flavor. Better than other natural sweeteners like monk fruit which I find bitter, or erythritol which can upset my stomach. The addition of hyaluronic acid for connective tissue support is also a nice touch. I think overall the ingredients they added are a net benefit and they don't go overboard like some other brands. It mixes about as well as any other premium brand with clean ingredients, my shaker bottle handles it just fine. Flavor is fine on its own, but also mixes really well with some peanut butter and a banana for when I want to up the carbs. Really I feel like this punches above its weight for its price.
Nutranelle Whey Protein Powder - 25gThis protein powder tastes great when mixed with almond milkānot too artificial or overpowering, like some others. It blends smoothly with a milk frother, leaving no clumps. Itās an isolate and concentrate blend, and Iād rather 100% isolate. With 25g of protein and 130 calories, itās a solid post-workout snack. Itās great that itās third-party tested and made in the USA. Itās a bit more expensive than some Iāve tried, but the better flavor helps makes up for that.
This Nutranelle Whey Protein Powder is packed with protein! I like to mix it with a banana and almond milk, and it mixes well in my blender. It gives me the energy I need to start the day. I really like the chocolate flavor. I like that it only has 1g of sugar and no added sugar! It's also low in calories, carbs, and fat. An added bonus is that it's made in the USA, and it is gluten free. This seems like a quality product which is reasonably priced. I'm very happy with this product.
This protein powder is pretty good. I've tried at least a couple others and I'd say this one wins out. What was tried before is grainier. This one, however, mixed really well. The flavor isn't sumptuous rich chocolate but the purpose is muscle recovery, not binging out on a treat. It may not be like drinking a milkshake but it's also not like drinking sour milk. It's hard to tell whether I'm getting actual benefit from the whey or just extra calories, so I'm careful to only have a serving after working out and hunger kicks in.
Been using this protein powder for the last week after my workouts, previously have never heard of or used this brand before. I wouldn't say it's going to be my favorite going forward but it's a good whey protein option. It's an isolate and concentrate blend with isolate being listed first. So the cholesterol is still in the range I prefer of under 15% per serving, more concentrated blends can be up to 25% daily value which is too high for me. The calories and protein macros (25g per serving) are also in the range I target. It mixed fairly well with just a shaker bottle, I tried it with both milk and water, although with milk it was much better. I add two oz of whole milk and it really takes it to another level but is still fine with water especially if you are watching calories and trying to get high protein. I didn't have any digestive discomfort which is important to me when choosing a protein powder. This chocolate taste pretty much like your typical chocolate protein powder, it's good. We don't use protein powder often for baking but I'm sure this would work well for that. Overall, this is a good protein and a decent value compared to the premium brands.
Iāve tried quite a few protein powders over the years, and this one has quickly become one of my favorites. The chocolate flavor is smooth and delicious without being overly sweet or having that chalky aftertaste that so many protein powders have. The packaging is also really eye-catching and feels high quality. It looks great sitting on my kitchen counter, which is a nice bonus! What really impressed me is the value. You get 25g of protein per serving, only 1g of sugar, and the price is very affordable compared to a lot of other brands with similar nutrition. It mixes well, tastes great with water or milk, and has become part of my daily routine. If youāre looking for a quality protein that tastes good without spending a fortune, I definitely recommend giving Nutranelle a try!Would absolutely purchase again.
Iām a 61 year old woman whoās been incorporating more protein in my diet to help retain muscle mass while also losing weight. Iām down 30 pounds so far and my bloodwork has improved. I do ācheatā so itās been a slow weight loss but Iām fine with that. I donāt really like meat so until recently Iāve had far too little protein in my diet so protein powder has been a fantastic addition.Nutranelle is actually cheaper per serving than my regular brand making it a better value. Yay!It also contains hyaluronic acid and enzymes that my regular brand does not. Double yay!!The scoop is a fairly large one. I use one scoop for a smoothie typically blended with low fat dairy milk, various frozen fruits and plain nonfat Greek yogurt with a bit of flax seed every couple days. For the purpose of this review I first mixed a scoop with milk using just a whisk. Some floaty bits remained but thatās typical with protein powders.Mixing it in a Blendboss for a couple pulses resulted in a much smoother consistency. Using a scoop in a chocolate cherry smoothie made for a very smooth palatable taste. See pics. The chocolate flavor is actually a tad sweeter than my typical brand but not in a bad way. The chocolate tastes to me of cocoa powder not a fake chocolate. I like it. If youāre expecting to replicate the flavor of a sugar laden high fat milkshake youāll be disappointed but thatās the case with any protein powder. Thereās an adjustment period if youāre accustomed to only high sugar foods but stick it out and your body will thank you.I fortunately donāt have digestive issues with whey protein. The enzymes in this are supposed to reduce discomfort but I canāt speak to that.I havenāt experienced any problems using this and it more than contains what Iām looking for in a protein powder.I plan to repurchase it!
For reference: I'm not normally a chocolate protein powder person bc IMO most of them have that weird fake cocoa taste that seems baked into the category regardless of brand. So I came in skeptical, especially from a brand I'd never heard of.Pros:- This exceeded my expectations, full stop. It tastes like hot cocoa mix that's been frozen. It's creamy, subtle, almost a half-and-half of milk chocolate and vanilla. None of that artificial cocoa edge.- My litmus test for any protein powder: it shouldn't need a pile of other ingredients to be palatable. I blended it with just unsweetened almond milk and ice, and that's all it needed. Smooth and creamy on its own.- I also had one scoop mixed into one serving of Siggis vanilla yogurt and it tastes EXACTLY like a light chocolate cheesecake. Divine!- 25g protein, 1g sugar, 130 calories per serving which is solid macros for a whey isolate/concentrate blend, and the digestive enzymes are a nice touch.Cons:- If you want a heavy, dark, intense cocoa flavor, this is NOT it. The chocolate here is deliberately subtle. For me that's the whole appeal, but I could see dark chocolate fans wanting more punch.Verdict: BUY especially if you've been burned by fake-tasting chocolate protein before. This is the rare one that's genuinely pleasant on its own.
This powder is tasty and not grainy like many protein powders. I have been using it in place of my morning tea or hot chocolate. I definitely don't feel like I am missing anything as far as flavor goes. It has made me proud of myself to be adding extra nutrition while replacing the extra sugars I didn't need. As a morning walker I can tell the difference in my energy and endurance. It is competitively priced and provides a nice amount of protein to my diet.
I've tried a lot of protein powders over the years, and this one is easy to drink. It mixes well without leaving a bunch of clumps at the bottom of my shaker bottle, and the texture is smooth instead of overly chalky.I also like that it packs 25g of protein while staying relatively low in sugar and calories, making it an easy way to add extra protein throughout the day. The added digestive enzymes are a nice touch, especially if you're someone who sometimes has trouble with protein powders sitting heavy.Overall, this is a solid option if you're looking for a straightforward whey protein that mixes easily and helps you hit your daily protein goals. It's been an easy addition to my routine. Well worth the money.
Taste great will order again
Whey Protein Powder - 25g Whey Protein Isolate Made in USA - Suitable for Men & Women Low Sugar & 130 Calories with Digestive Enzymes - Ideal for Smoothies, Shakes & Recipes Was a review item. So glad I tried it! This stuff is soul. I tried it with milk and half water the first time and it mixed really easy with the froth or it was creamy and tasted really great. I added some ice afterwards. It did not have any shaggy taste at all. It was nice and chocolatey it made me feel full, and I did not really feel hungry at all. I would definitely recommend this because it had no aftertaste. Theprice point was expensive but after trying it, I will be purchasing again. Maybe try a different flavor. Definitely recommend!
I really liked this whey protein! Great taste!! Will be back for more!!
I am really impressed with this protein powder, and the fact that it is made in the USA is a huge plus for me. I use it to make shakes in my blender with milk, cottage cheese, flax seeds, and soaked chia seeds, and it turns out wonderfully smooth every time. I noticed some other reviewers mentioned having a hard time getting it to dissolve, but I have absolutely no issues with clumping when I mix it in the blender. It has a really good flavor and a great ingredient profile, featuring clean whey protein isolate, digestive enzymes for easy digestion, and only 130 calories and 1 gram of sugar per serving. It is a fantastic addition to my daily routine.
